Characters: Amagami

Tachibana Junichi (Voiced by: Maeno Tomoaki)


Our male protagonist, Junichi's heart was broken two years ago when he was stood up by a girl on their supposed Christmas Eve date. Now in his sophomore year of high school, he spends his days in his closet planetarium and mostly spending time with his two good friends Umehara Masayoshi and Tanamachi Kaoru.

Morishima Haruka (Voiced by: Itou Shizuka)

The school idol, Morishima Haruka has been confessed to by countless men, all of whom she has rejected. She likes cute things, but has a soft spot for puppies. Her best friend is the captain of the school's Swim Team, Tsukahara Hibiki.

Tanamachi Kaoru (Voiced by: Satou Rina)

Junichi's good friend from middle school. Kaoru works at a family restaurant as a waitress to help support her single mother. Had the distinction of being nicknamed as The Nuke/Warhead of Kibitou in middle school due to her Hot Bloodedness.

Nakata Sae (Voiced by: Konno Hiromi)

Miya and Ai's classmate. Nakata Sae had only studied at exclusive all-girl's schools in her life until she transferred to Kibitou High School in her first year. As a result, she is incredibly shy around men.

Nanasaki Ai (Voiced by: Yukana)

A first year on the Swim Team and a classmate of both Miya and Sae. A very calm and humble girl, she is seen as the Swim Team's ace swimmer.

Sakurai Rihoko (Voiced by: Shintani Ryoko)

A second year student, she is Miya and Junichi's childhood friend. Is obsessed with eating and dieting. She is also a member of the Tea Club.

Ayatsuji Tsukasa (Voiced by: Nazuka Kaori)

A second year, she is the Class Representative of Junichi's class, as well as the committee head of the Founder's Festival Committee for the past two years, including the current year. Is hard-working, takes on the jobs that no one wants to do, and is generally an outstanding student. She is very popular due to this, and teachers find themselves relying on her more often than not. We discover that this facet of her personality is nothing more than a facade.
  • All There In The Manual: In the anime, the contents of Tsukasa's diary and the reason why Tsukasa dislikes her sister Yukari aren't elaborated on.
  • Annoying Older Sibling
  • Becoming The Mask: Tsukasa at the end of Episode 23, and it is not a good thing. Reversed in the next episode with Junichi confessing he likes all of her. Cue him getting a 3-hit combo.
  • Bitch In Sheeps Clothing

  • Cry Cute: Tsukasa after she vents out all her frustrations on Junichi for his foolish words (see Becoming The Mask above), and then he actually welcomes it as to mean the girl he's in love with is still there; subequently she bawls out over him, literally.
  • Fan Nickname: BitchRep
  • Freudian Excuse: Tied in with her dislike for her bubbly older sister, Yukari. While Tsukasa prides herself on being efficient, outstanding and successful despite her true attitude, people still prefer her sister Yukari's company despite her many shortcomings, simply because of her easygoing nature. As a result, Tsukasa has always felt some resentment against Yukari, especially when people praise her.

  • Tsundere: Has hints of this towards Junichi after the diary incident.

Tachibana Miya (Voiced by: Asumi Kana)

Junichi's younger sister. She affectionately calls him "Nii-nii" but is often chastised by Junichi for this; thus, she calls him "onii-chan" out of the house. She tends to be jealous of girls that her brother spends time with, the lone exception being their mutual childhood friend Rihoko. Her favorite food is nikuman (pork buns).

Takahashi Maya (Voiced by: Hayamizu Risa)



Umehara Masayoshi (Voiced by: Terashima Takuma)


  • BackStory/Old Shame: Towards the end of Tsukasa's arc, Junichi catches Umehara about to burn a letter and tries to stop him, then Umehara reveals that it was a letter of confession he got from a girl back in middleschool which he never replied to because back then he thought love and romance were "not cool", and that this was his biggest regret in life.
  • Bromantic Foil
  • Love Martyr: Helps Junichi with his love life, but fails to get a date of his own.

  • Cool Big Sis: The subversion being that Tsukasa doesn't like her.

Kamizaki Risa (Voiced by: Kadowaki Mai)


  • A-Cup Angst
  • The Atoner: At the end of the episode, Risa decides to apologize to the rest of the Amagami girls for sabotaging their attempts to get it on with Junichi. May or may not overlap with Easily Forgiven.
    • Averted in the game, due to her Yandere aspect. See below.
  • Forgotten Childhood Friend: of Miya. She was the one to taught Miya to call Junichi "Nii-nii".
  • Hime Cut
  • Mortons Fork: Essensially what Risa was faced with two years ago and her motive for her actions then. Makihara, the girl who stood Junichi up, was in fact planning on humiliating him at their meeting place in front of her friends, Risa included, by flat out rejecting him as a prank. Risa was horrified at the thought how Junichi would have taken it (as in possibly Spurned Into Suicide). So just before that day, she lied to Makihara that Junichi wanted to meet at another place, and Makihara waited there instead, resulting of course in Juinichi being stood up. Nevertheless, Junichi was hurt anyway.
  • Secret Relationship: In Risa's arc in the anime. She doesn't want anyone to know of her relationship with Junichi due to certain actions she's done as a mild case ofYandere.
    • Her Image Song, secret room, is a nod to their meeting place (an unused preparation room).
  • Stalker With A Crush
  • Where It All Began: Risa caused the famous rejection from two years ago by misleading the girl into arriving two hours earlier.
    • In her arc in the anime, she lies to the girl, named Makihara, that Junichi changed the appointed meeting place, and Makihara waits there instead.
  • Yandere: If you reject her, she exposes Junichi's Porn Stash to the school (unluckily, you've got some goods to trade with your bro Umehara), thus ensuring that Tachibana Junichi never gets a girlfriend for the rest of his life in Kibitou. Even his friendship with Kaoru and Umehara is strained, with the two of them keeping their distance from you for their own reputation. Miya likewise does not interact with you in school anymore.
    • The Yandere aspect was subverted big time in the anime. She became remorseful, and even decided to let go of Junichi because she thinks he hates her. He wouldn't have it though and forgave her.
